Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Super Potato ("we", "us", or "the app") handles your information when you use our Android game.

1. Information We Collect

Google Play Game Services

When you sign in with Google Play Games, Google may share your player ID, display name, and profile picture with us to enable features such as leaderboards and achievements. We do not store this information on our own servers — it is managed by Google Play Game Services.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as advertising ID), IP address, and usage data to serve relevant ads. This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Technical Data

We may automatically collect limited technical information such as device model, OS version, and app version. This helps us ensure compatibility and improve the game.

Gameplay Statistics

The app sends gameplay statistics to a server we operate ourselves (telemetry.mcdax.de). This happens when the app starts and at the end of each run. What is sent is:

So that the runs of one sitting can be grouped together, the app draws a random identifier each time it starts. It is never written to your device and is not derived from anything about you or your device — close the app and it is gone, and the next start draws a new one. Runs can therefore be grouped within one sitting, and not across two.

We do not collect your name, e-mail address, account, contacts, or location.

With no identifier that outlives a single sitting, these statistics are not linked to you or to your device.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the game performs and where it is too hard or too easy (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2. How We Use Information

3. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services may collect information when you use Super Potato:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

4. Your Rights

Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California), you may have the right to:

To exercise these rights, you can:

5. Children's Privacy

Super Potato is a casual jump-and-run game and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. AdMob ads are configured to comply with applicable regulations regarding advertising to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Data Retention

The gameplay statistics described in Section 1 are stored on our own server for as long as we operate the game. They contain no name, no contact details, no account, and no identifier that lasts beyond a single sitting, so a record cannot be traced back to you or your device — which also means we cannot single out and delete “your” records on request, because nothing marks them as yours.

Data collected by third-party services (Google) is subject to their respective retention policies.

7. Security

The gameplay statistics are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored on a server we operate ourselves. The receiving endpoint accepts only these statistics, requires a key that is checked on every request, limits how much and how often anything can be sent, and discards any field it does not expect. The stored data is not reachable from the web without a password.

Everything else — sign-in, leaderboards, achievements and advertising — is handled by Google's services, which implement their own security measures.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
